STRATOCASTORS played a «rock» with Etron Fou Leloublan accents bantering with their Devo∼tion for «electronics», spastic ! Everything was a pretext for sublimation in a discoïd, staggering and nervous atmosphere… All that to tell you that Danny, Jérôme, Marius & Séb wrote songs together that sounded like them. They sang in french, to the chagrin of those who do not understand Baudelaire’s language, you can always dance, however everyone dances, always.

     Premiere ALBUM from my favorite orchestra > > > UŽ JSME DOMA, ah ! All of these songs were originally written & performed between 1985 and 1989 ; But UJD could not record them until the very beginning of 1990, just after the «velvet revolution» which droves «czechoslovakia» out of the soviet «communist dictatorship». The band had already been very active —illegally— for 5 years, so needless to say that Mirek and his band were already hot∼boiling and fine∼ready for this recording.
The ALBUM opens with «Ámen», a hymn to liberation. Its lyrics could be translate to : «Not just body / But spirit too / Not just fate / But hope too». Calm & solemn…

→ Originally pressed in ’90 as full∼lengh LP 12”. Here for the first time as «special DELUXE» Double EP 10” (clear YELLOW SUN vinyls) including new { covers & innersleeves } paintings & drawings from MARTIN VELÍŠEK & Miroslav Wanek lyrical poems translations in french, english and polish.

    Recorded in the same session than their debut «Uprostřed Slov» right after the fall of the «Berlin wall» which precipitated the «velvet revolution», in which UŽ JSME DOMA adventure was involved…

According to Miroslav Wanek statements —UJD’s thinking & acting head— : this record is based on a fairy tale pulled of the «King Lear» of Shakespeare, this history of king which asks his three daughters : «How do you love me ?» { Yet there is a czech fairy tale which looks like that }. The first girl answers «I love you as the gold» ; The second «I love you as the silver» ; And the third «I love you as the salt». «As the salt ?» answers the King. «It is unpleasant, go away !». Later the kingdom suffers from a shortage of salt, and nobody anymore can cook or even feed themselves. King eventually realizes that the salt was finally also important, otherwise more than gold and silver…

This second recording is a new pavement in the czech slump of late 80’s ; A rare pearl of poetic madness ← Originally this album was released in 1990 as a LP 12”. This new remastered «special DELUXE» pressing comes in the shape of a Double EP 10” (clear RED WINE vinyls) embellished with new visuals —designs & paintings— by Martin Velíšek and translations of the poetic lyrics of Miroslav Wanek ; in french, english and polish. Beautiful (new) discovery !
