      BÉRURIER NOIR : As long as there is dark∼black, there is hope !

• Between february 1983 & november 1989 BÉRURIER NOIR tried to dream > practice > quite simply… live an alternative counter∼culture and its dissemination to the “crowd”, from confrontation (debut performances, «théâtre de force») to osmosis («mouv’ment d’la jeunesse») with the abolition of the “band/crowd” barrier in a free & self∼organised space. This (r)evolution was accompanied by slogans, declaimed manifestos, a strong & chaotic visual identity, of an ever∼growing motley raya, and of course a unison sound ; From the cold, raw & minimal rage of the beginnings to the carnivalesque awkward circus of the ends ! → Bérurier Noir were, is, and will stay the exception by the exemple ← Everthing becomes terribly possible, fantastically enthusiastic, crazy parties, combative pessimism & collective nerve ! 

• “Be realist, ask the impossible”. Embrace, confront, act ! Let us stare at & derange our contradictions, our passions, our convictions, our impulses, our disappointments… No surrender. Tirelessly. Always with a smile, slime !
