LUCRATE MILK *

Lucrate Milk

LUCRATE MILK was born virtually between 1977 & 1978. «We invented the name, the logo, the lettering, and we started bombing the walls of Paris». Their notoriety —grown from these tags— will give rise to quite crazy rumors → Like those people who will claim to have seen them play live when no concert has yet taken place… It was not until 1979 that the group was physically formed. Lucrate Milk consisted of Laul Lombrick (bassist, clown & future draftsman for Bérurier Noir), Masto Lowcost (saxo∼photographist which will then also join the Bérus & the beginning of Washington Dead Cats), Nina Childress (also painter & member of collective Frères Ripoulin), Raoul Gaboni (drummer, later in MKB, Ouloumboutou & the collective the Bateleurs de Bakouo) and Helno (voice, of course following the BxN, then Les Négresses Vertes). LauL & MaSTo were milk deliverers before the group was formed… True story.

LUCRATE MILK played mainly in squats and at lUsine Pali∼Kao de Belleville, this was the burgeoning of french alternative movement & labels…. Their music (?) was was uncompromising ← wild, youthful, Dada & Destroy ! But let us not forget that they were above all a meeting of visual comrades arghtists { painting, drawing, photo, video, sculpture, etc. } >>> Resourcefulness & joyful hacking !
